Jo Harman’s evocative and soulful blues voice has seen her dubbed one of the most exciting singers of her generation.
Attention grabbing performances at The Great Escape Festival, the prestigious 606 club, on BBC Introducing sessions and guest slots including for Marlena Shaw, Terry Callier and Average White Band, have seen her receive high praise from peers and critics alike, whilst her natural stagecraft and deeply expressive voice has drawn comparisons with vintage Memphis singers and classic artists as diverse as Janis Joplin and Dusty Springfield.
 All comparisons aside and most importantly, Jo Harman sounds like Jo Harman and as a unique and hugely promising artist has already attracted strong industry attention from both sides of the Atlantic.
Having worked with Grammy winning and nominated producers, Jo is now excited to be pursuing her own artistic direction with her band formed of world class musicians, whose credits include playing with such luminaries as Sting, Bob Dylan and David Bowie.
Her much anticipated debut album is scheduled for release in 2011.
